The project consists in the requalification of a mall in the centre of Muggia, which was built some years ago by using prestressed reinforced concrete. The process consists in realizing the new covering of the building using white aluminium tinplates to be fixed to a new underlying zinc-plated metallic carpentry structure fastened to the preexisting structure. The building has got a rectangular shape and its size is 50x70 m, with a variable height from 7 to 10 m circa. Over the main entrance, a huge steel cube has been installed, covered with tinplate, protruding from the wall and being characterized by with light effects in order to customize the shopping centre. Alle strutture in acciaio sono stati fissati i montanti e i correnti in alluminio necessari al fissaggio dei vetri fotovoltaici.

Il progetto prevede la riqualificazione di un centro commerciale a Muggia costruito qualche tempo fa con strutture in c.a. precompresso. L’intervento principale consiste nel rivestire esternamente l’intero fabbricato con lamiere stirate in alluminio di colore bianco da fissare ad una sottostruttura in carpenteria metallica zincata a caldo a sua volta agganciata alla struttura esistente. Il fabbricato ha forma rettangolare e misura circa 50x70 metri ed ha un’altezza variabile dai 7 ai 10 metri circa. Nella zona dell’ingresso principale è previsto, a livello della copertura, la realizzazione di un enorme cubo sporgente sia dalla parete che in altezza, anch’esso in acciaio e rivestito in lamiera stirata, con effetti di luce, con l’intento di personalizzare e caratterizzare qualitativamente l’intervento progettuale.
