Industrial building Maniago, Italy 

The project consists in the expansion works of a preexisting warehouse, built in prestressed concrete. The supplementary part has been realized in metallic carpentry, with the exception of a series of perimetral concrete pillars. The supplementary realization is 60x60 m and has a total height of circa 12 m. The main characteristic of the realization is represented by the absence of intermediate columns. Only one steel column is placed in the centre of the structure and supports the whole “shed” steel roof. The side walls have been realized, for one part, with prefabricated concrete panels and, for the other part, with sandwich panels. The roof has also been realized with shaped sandwich panels of the “sound” type. Another interesting feature of the realization is the high grade of thermal insulation. The internal environment is warmed up during winter and cooled off during summer time, thanks to an innovative, efficient central heating system.
